How to memorize in a better way

   Human memory stores information and has the ability to visualise, imagine, and create mental pictures.

   What do you think, why do you forget things? Make a list.

    There are three key tips for enhancing memory, which are summarised by M.O.M.

   M stands for Motivation. Motivation makes one pursue things, instigates the trigger towards an action. Reasons are the triggers of results. You have to know your “why.” Reasons come first in any goal, and then the answer comes second to pursue that goal.

   For example, if your goal is to be a millionaire, then ask yourself why you will work towards it. Then answer yourself: for a better life, for a mother’s treatment, for an impactful career…

   Compelling reasons will provide the fuel to pursue goals. Pull motivation will effectively help you out in this case. You will magically feel attracted towards your goal. We enjoy those things which we feel pulled towards.

   To practice this in reality, assume that you are rewarded for your hard work and have 1 million dollars in your hand. At that time, your rival is given those 1 million dollars by snatching them from your hand, saying that there has been a misunderstanding and that your rival was supposed to win that money. You will naturally feel motivated towards it again. So, ask yourself why you have to remember your new client’s name, your customer’s name, those valuable pieces of information of the project, learn new things, and remember those particular data to learn a new skill.

 Information with emotion makes long-term learning.

   O stands for Observation. Sincerely observe and be present in the current situation. First, listen to the lecture or person, be silent when listening. These observations will teach your brain to capture valuable information and make your brain feel the importance of that. Being actively present will make your presence powerful. Teach yourself to stay in the current situation. Observe your nervous system, how your body is feeling during learning. Are you in an angry state, happy, nervous, or excited? These emotions, when mixed with information, bring motion to your learning memory.

   M is for Mechanics. This refers to tactics, tools, tips, and tricks. When learning something new, link it up with something you already know. For example, if you learn the new word “miniature,” connect it with the word “mini,” then you will easily remember it. Use spaced repetition, active recall, and turn it into illogical pictures to memorise better. Memory is not permanent; you can grow your muscle memory and enhance it for better learning and better earning. Human potentiality is nearly limitless.
